The Loose Moose — a haven for smokey burgers and succulent ribs

The Loose Moose is quickly earning a reputation among Gold Coast crowds as a haven for smokey burgers and succulent ribs. 

Situated in the bustling Broadbeach precinct, The Loose Moose is pretty hard to miss. Abiding by an industrial vibe, this tap & bar grill features exposed brick walls adorned with vintage-look black-and-white old photos, chrome piping, gear fixtures, large industrial fans and a whole roof lined with rusted toxic waste containers. The Bar itself is also worth checking out, with a massive moose head centred in the middle, overlooking the restaurant.

Here, the meal sizes are generous and accompanied by a selection of tasty sauces that are guaranteed to have you licking every sticky bit off your fingers. A popular dish with regulars is the BBQ Beef Ribs. Tenderly smothered in smoked BBQ sauce, the ribs are slow-cooked in a lathering of secret sticky sauce.

Another favourite is their Kentucky Chook, which will have you clucking with joy. Nice with a touch of spice, this southern-style fried chicken breast can be paired nicely with their crunchy tangy slaw. The final touch of magic was without question the beer-battered chips dipped in the ribs sauce.

A fluorescent light hangs at the bar which reads: “you are exactly where you need to be”, and we couldn’t agree with this more.
