Service Area
All pickups and drop offs must stay within the designated boundaries in the map below. If the service area expands, you’ll receive a notification about the update.

How can guardians book a ride for their teen?
Guardians can follow these easy steps to request a ride for their teen:
- From the home screen of the Uber app, click “Where to?”
- Select “For me” in the top left-hand corner
- Select the teen the ride is being requested for
- Select “Uber for teens”
Guardians will receive a confirmation and be redirected to the teen trip tracking screen once booked.
When and where can rides be requested?
Teens can only request rides within the Greater Central LA service area, as shown in the map above. This means that the pickup and dropoff location must fall inside the defined boundary, which includes neighborhoods such as Santa Monica, Culver City, Inglewood, Torrance, West Hollywood, and part of Central and South LA. If either pickup or dropoff location falls outside this area, the trip will not be eligible for request.
Additionally, rides can only be requested during the following hours of operation: Sunday–Thursday, 6:00 AM to Midnight; Friday & Saturday, 6:00 AM to 2:00 AM (the following day).
Trips to or from airports cannot be requested.
