We’re excited to announce the arrival of uberXL in Cedar Rapids and Iowa City. With room for up to six riders, uberXL is spacious, convenient and low cost. You can expect cars such as Honda Odysseys, Ford Explorers and Toyota Highlanders.
Whether you’re heading out to a game with friends, or to the airport with a larger crew, uberXL can help take more of your group to your destination of choice.
Pro-tips for uberXL Trips
- With more room for more people, uberXL rates are slightly higher than an uberX. You can always see pricing in the app before you request a ride. Get a fare estimate for Iowa City or Cedar Rapids.
- Once on a trip, swipe up from the bottom of the app to split the fare with friends using the fare-splitting feature.
- Make sure to match the license plate of the car with the license plate of your driver in app. You can always also contact your driver to help coordinate the smoothest pick up.
- We want all riders and drivers to have a great trip experience. Review our community guidelines and be sure to be respectful while on a trip.
- uberXL availability may be limited to start. If you don’t see an uberXL immediately, check back in a few minutes!
