Being part of a community means giving back. As the Uber platform continues to connect Oahu to reliable rides, we look for ways to make a greater impact right here in Hawaii. This April 16th, we are connecting those who are able to give, to those who are in need for the Hawaii Foodbank’s 27th Annual Food Drive.
Together with the Hawaii Foodbank, we invite you to give back by setting aside a few canned goods from your pantry or picking up extra non-perishables on your next grocery run. Then open your app on April 16th, request a pickup of your donations, and Uber will cover the cost.
Request a FREE pickup of your food donations on demand April 16th!
HOW TO DONATE:
- Open the app on Saturday, 4/16 between 10a-2pm.
- Slide over to the “FOOD DRIVE” icon and request a pickup at your location.
- Meet your driver curbside with your non-perishable food items.
- Your donation will be delivered to the Hawaii Foodbank and provided to someone in need.
WHY IT MATTERS:
Hawaii Foodbank through its network of island food banks and their local food pantries and meal programs, is providing food assistance to more than 123,000 households encompassing 287,000 Islanders—or one in five island residents—including 47,894 keiki and over 46,000 kupuna.
Thank you for making us a part of your community, Oahu. Together, we can make an impact.
