If you are a Panama City driver-partner or you frequently drive in Panama City and would like to continue to take trips in Panama City, you will need to change your registered city in the app.
Please note that due to local regulations, driver-partners who take trips in Panama City are required to get a vehicle inspection. Those who continue to drive in Panama City and have not gotten a vehicle inspection may receive citations.
To change your city:
- Open your driver app.
- Navigate to Account > Help > Report an Issue > Account > Account Settings > I Want to Drive in a New City.
- When asked the question “What city or cities would you like to drive in?,” enter “Panama City.”
- When asked the question “When would you like to start driving there?,” enter today’s date.
- When asked the question “Will this change be permanent?,” enter “Yes.”
Once we update you in our records, you will be required to get a vehicle inspection for Panama City trips and display an Uber decal in your vehicle’s front windshield. Request an Uber decal here.
In the meantime, print out a temporary Uber decal immediately. This is mandatory while taking trips in Panama City.
