MEET OUR PROUD PARTNERS
TODD: Todd began driving with Uber Uber 7 months ago, when he went from car salesman to Uber Partner. As a true CO Native, Todd takes pride in not only knowing Denver, but in sharing it with visitors and newcomers, doubling as a tour guide when he drives. One of the main appreciations Todd has in driving with Uber is the freedom in his schedule and the ability to work when he wants. As Todd bravely battles cancer, the freedom in his schedule is what enables him to work when he can and still make his doctor appointments in between. As large supporters of the LGBT community, Todd and his family are marching to show their support for close friends and loved ones within the community.
MOLLIE: As a personal trainer and fitness nutritionist at Denver Fitness Bootcamp, Mollie lives a lifestyle of fitness and regimen that she loves and strived for as a Division I Softball athlete and Exercise Science major. Since personal training starts bright and early in the day, Mollie is able to fill her afternoons and evenings driving with Uber. Aside from monetary gain, Uber helps Mollie come out of her shell, communicate more and be more outgoing – and she loves learning something new from her riders everyday. As an open and proud member of the LGBT community since college, Mollie is marching with her friends and loved ones to support their community.
BODHI: Originally from the Bay Area in San Francisco, Bodhi’s love for Uber began as a rider. Working as a life coach and pursuing his coffee company venture, Bodhi was looking for a non-conventional job to support him while he explored his passions. He soon found driving with Uber as the answer. Not only does he get to choose his own hours and dedicate the time he needs to his other pursuits, but driving also offers him an opportunity to network and meet new people. Bodhi’s admiration and respect for the LGBT community came from a time when life gave him a second chance. While working through the challenges of AA, he found that the most understanding and supportive friends were from the LGBT community. From that point on a tie to and appreciation for the community was set, and Bodhi is marching in the 2016 PrideFest Parade with his family and loved ones to return the support and march for Pride.
GABRIEL: Having joined the Uber platform in February, Gabriel looks to driving as a means to make extra money and fill his time without interfering with his passion and profession, photography. Through complete coincidence, Gabriel and his husband picked their wedding date when same-sex marriage laws were passed. They just so happened to be the first couple in Denver who were married under the new law. Gabriel and his husband march as proud members and supporters of the LGBT community.
ROBERT: As a rare 4th generation Colorado native, Robert is able to share his knowledge and love for Denver with his riders. Partnering with uber since February, Robert’s experience driving has liberated him from the traditional job experience. He finds freedom in knowing he’s his own boss, and he’s confident that he’s doing a good job by turning to rider ratings and comments for feedback rather than a manager. For Robert, marching in the 2016 PrideFest Parade is about celebrating and supporting one of the most accepting and loving communities that he knows.
