Uber + The Salvation Army: Angel Trees On Demand

Since 1979, The Salvation Army’s Angel Tree program has been helping children in need get the holiday gift of their dreams. Donors are encouraged to take a tag from an Angel Tree, outlining a child’s dream gift, and then deliver that gift to The Salvation Army.

As the app that delivers easy, seamless experiences, we want to bring the magic of the Angel Tree to you – so on December 6th, you’ll be able to request an “Angel Tree” uberX with miniature Angel Trees in each car, letting you do some good while you head to your destination.

How it Works:

At 11am on Tuesday, December 6th, open your app, enter your destination and scroll to the right and request a special ‘Angel Tree uberX’

If connected, an uberX with a miniature version of The Salvation Army’s Angel Tree will arrive to take you to your destination. Select a tag from the tree during your trip identifying a child you wish to support.

The first 100 requesters who take an Angel Tree tag will be given a $10 Uber Gift Card, the new way to pay for your on-demand ride
