Full Terms & Conditions:
- The EV Week prize draw (the “Prize Draw”) is open to all drivers that are active on the Uber App and that are: (i) fully complying with the Driver Terms and Conditions; and (ii) register their attendance at any webinar and/or the Uber EV Expo during Uber EV Week .
- The Promoter is: Uber B.V., a private limited liability company established in the Netherlands, having its offices at Mr. Treublaan 7, 1097 DP, Amsterdam, the Netherlands, registered at the Amsterdam Chamber of Commerce under number 56317441.
- The opening time and date for entries to the Prize Draw is 12:00am BST on 13th September 2021 and the closing time and date for the Prize Draw is 11:59pm BST on 17th September 2021 (the “Prize Draw Period”). Entries received after the Prize Draw Period will not be counted.
- To enter the Prize Draw you must:
- be an active driver on the Uber App;
- not be in breach of your Driver Terms and Conditions; and
- register your attendance at any talk at the Uber EV Expo by:
- In-Person Attendees: if you attend the Uber EV Expo at The Yard, Here East,Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, 14 East Bay Lane, London, E15 2GW on Wednesday, 15th September 2021 from any time between 10am to 4pm BST, to enter the Prize Draw you must confirm your attendance by registering in person at the event registration desk using your Uber registered email address. You will receive 1 entry into the Competition from attending the Uber EV Expo;
- Virtual Attendees: if you attend a live virtual webinar and register for the webinars with the email address that is linked to your Uber Driver account during the Prize Draw Period, you will automatically receive one entry into the Prize Draw. You will receive one entry into the Prize Draw per webinar that you attend.
- The Promoter accepts no responsibility for entries not successfully completed due to a technical fault, technical malfunction, computer hardware or software failure, satellite, network or server failure. Any incorrect details submitted to register event attendance will render the corresponding entry invalid.
- The prizes that are available to win are set out at the end of these Ts&Cs (each a “Prize”). Prizes shall be allocated to winners at random and winners will have no choice of Prize.
- The winners will be chosen by a random draw performed by a computer process on 20th September 2021 (“Draw Date”).
- The Prize does not include any food and drink, spending money, travel expenses, tax or personal expenses. Any other costs in addition are the responsibility of the winner. Each Prize is subject to availability. There is no cash alternative to any Prize and the Prizes are not transferable or exchangeable
- The winner will be notified by email or telephone (using details linked to their Uber Driver account) and must respond to the notification to claim their Prize within 48 hours. Failure to do this will result in the Prize being forfeited and the Promoter may in its absolute discretion award the Prize to a reserve selected at the same time as the original winner or dispose of the Prize in its discretion without liability to the winner.
- All Prizes will be provided in the form of e-gift vouchers and it is the responsibility of individual prize winners to use the e-gift vouchers to claim their prize with the respective third party prize provider within the period for which the voucher is valid. Terms and Conditions may apply to the redemption of each Prize. The Promoter will not accept responsibility in the event that the e-gift voucher is not claimed by the winner within the period of validity otherwise that the Winner has not complied with any applicable Prize Terms and Conditions.
- The Promoter will not accept responsibility for prizes which are lost, damaged or delayed in transit, regardless of cause, including as a result of equipment failure, technical malfunction, systems, network, computer hardware or software failure of any kind.
- The Prizes may not be claimed by a third party on the winners’ behalf.
- The Promoter assumes no responsibility for any typographical or other error in the administration of the Prize Draw, errors in processing entries, identifying the winner, announcing the winner or the delivery of the Prize Draw.
- The Promoter reserves the right to replace the Prize with an alternative Prize of equal or higher value if circumstances beyond the Promoter’s control make it necessary to do so.
- The decision of the Promoter regarding any aspect of the Prize Draw is final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into about it.
- The name of the winner and county can be obtained by contacting us through the Help section of your app or by visiting http://help.uber.com within 30 days of the date of the Draw Date.
- Participants are deemed to have accepted and agreed to be bound by these terms and conditions upon entry. The Promoter reserves the right to refuse entry or refuse to award the Prizes to anyone in breach of these terms and conditions. The Promoter reserves the right to hold void, cancel, suspend, or amend the promotion where it becomes necessary to do so.
- Insofar as is permitted by law, the Promoter, their agents or distributors will not in any circumstances be responsible or liable to compensate the winner or accept any liability for any loss, damage, personal injury or death occurring as a result of taking up the Prize except where it is caused by the negligence of the Promoter, their agents or distributors or that of their employees. Your statutory rights are not affected.
- For the avoidance of doubt, Uber B.V. and each of its respective subsidiaries, affiliates, owners, shareholders, officers, directors, agents, members, representatives and employees (“Uber”) will have no liability or responsibility for any claim arising in connection with participation in this promotion or any prize awarded, except for any liability that cannot be excluded by law.
- The winner may be required to participate in publicity related to the Prize Draw which may include the publication of their name and photograph in any media.
- Personal data supplied during the course of the Prize Draw will be processed in accordance with our privacy policy and may be used and passed on to third party suppliers only insofar as required for fulfilment/delivery/arrangement of the Prize.
- Winner must be aged 18 or over.
- All issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation and enforceability of these terms and conditions, or the rights and obligations of you and the Promoter or their affiliates in connection with the Prize Draw or the Prize (whether contractual or non-contractual), shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.
