For rides facilitated through the Uber platform, this existing commercial auto policy, held by the taxi driver, remains the primary and mandatory source of accident coverage, consistent with local statutory and liability requirements.
How to report an accident?
If you were involved in an accident, follow these steps:
Stay calm and make sure all people involved are safe.
If you consider it necessary, call the police and any emergency services you deem appropriate.
Should you, a passenger, or any third party sustain injuries, report the accident to your insurance company (taxi insurance policy) immediately to activate your commercial policy.
Report the incident through the Uber Driver app:
- Go to the main menu
- Select the "Safety" option
- Go to the "I was involved in an accident" tab
- Complete the requested information
