How much money can you make delivering with Uber Eats?
How Uber Eats earnings are calculated
Earnings vary depending on the deliveries you choose to take, where and when you deliver, and if you participate in a promotion (when available).
Earnings consist of base fares, promotions and tips, which vary. Learn more about earnings
Base fare
Delivery fares are calculated based on estimated time and distance, factoring in multiple stops and demand. Fares can vary due to traffic, wait times, limited delivery availability, high demand and merchant-specific fees. This is why similar deliveries may have different fares at different times of day. To find areas and times with high demand, go to the Earnings trends section in the Driver app.
Promotions and incentives
Quest promotions, which are completely optional, provide extra earnings for meeting specific goals within a timeframe, e.g. completing a certain number of trips within a specific timeframe. Eligibility and availability vary by city and Terms and Conditions apply. If you have received a promotion, they will appear in the Opportunities section in the Uber driver app.

Tolls legitimately incurred between pickup and drop-off will be reimbursed.

The Earnings Guarantee
The Earnings Guarantee, as part of the Minimum Standards Order, is a minimum amount that Delivery People will earn for their Engaged Time, calculated over 3-week Earnings Periods, while completing deliveries on the Uber Eats platform.
Current minimum hourly rates from 17 August 2026 – 31 December 2026:
🚗 Car*: $32.00 per hour
🛵 Motorbike: $31.50 per hour
🚲 Bicycle / e-bike: $31.30 per hour
*Up to 1 tonne carrying capacity
Minimum hourly rates are reviewed annually and may change from 1 January each year.
If the net earnings for your Engaged Time over a 3-week Earning Period fall below your guaranteed minimum during this period, you will receive an earnings top-up for the difference.
The Earnings Guarantee is a minimum, not a maximum. You can earn more than the guaranteed minimum amount during an Earnings Period.
