Nepal was rocked by a 7.9 magnitude earthquake Saturday, April 25th. The tremor, and its aftershock, centered just 40 miles from Kathmandu, left thousands dead, and laid many homes and historic sites in ruin.

The devastating impact of the quake was felt by people across the globe, and particularly those in Dubai, a city home to more than 200,000 Nepalese immigrants.

Under the directive of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and instruction from His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the UAE Red Crescent sent a convoy to Nepal to provide much needed relief.

At Uber Dubai, we want to do our part to help, so on April 28, 2015, we will be donating our proceeds to the Red Cross of Nepal.
