Challenge Accepted!

Last Wednesday, after accepting the #IceBucketChallenge, Uber Middle East nominated all of Dubai to participate, to help raise awareness about ALS.

We gave Dubai 24hrs to complete the #IceBucketChallenge – pretty ambitious, eh? Take it from us, dropping a bucket of ice-cold water on your head while dressed for work isn’t the easiest thing, check out our video.

To make it easy for people to participate in the challenge, we launched the ALS #IceBucketChallenge on-demand! All you had to do was tap the ice-bucket icon in the Uber app, and within minutes we delivered ice water, buckets, and a fresh t-shirt for FREE to anyone ready to take the plunge!

People from all over Dubai participated, including Out and About presenter Layne Redman, who got a surprise splash from his colleagues!
