Uber will start distributing the Approval to Drive letters beginning May 16, 2017 at our Uber Herencia office.

What is the ATD for?
The Approval to Drive (ATD) letter is an official document issued by the LTA to applicants who have applied for the PDVL and have successfully passed the background check. This authorizes the applicant to continue driving a private hire vehicle until June 30, 2018, provided he completes and submits his medical check by June 30, 2017. In addition, this ATD gives the PDVL applicant a 12-month extension (until June 30, 2018) to complete their PDVL training course to get their PDVL card.
What do I do with my ATD?
Please keep your original copy of the ATD in your private hire vehicle at all times. There is only one original document, which is the one you are going to collect. This document is proof of your eligibility to drive a private hire vehicle until June 30, 2018, or until you receive your Private Hire Car Driver’s Vocational License (PDVL).
What do I need to bring when collecting my ATD?
Please bring your NRIC and Driver's License for verification purposes. Please also be ready to present the SMS or email that you received from the FastLane team for a quick collection experience.
I am not available during the collection dates assigned to me, can I come on a different date?
In order to facilitate a smooth process for all our FastLane applicants, you are strongly encouraged to come during the designated dates for collection.
In the event that you are not able to collect during the designated dates, you may still come down to our Uber Herencia office for collection at a later date, but may experience a longer waiting period for your ATD collection.
I received a message that my ATD is available, but my medical check is not completed. What should I do?
The LTA has already cleared your background check, and you can collect the ATD to drive with Uber until June 30, 2018, but you will need to complete your medical check at the earliest, before June 30, 2017. Please make an appointment at t.uber.com/pdvlmedical or walk-in to any of the Raffles medical clinics listed on the site for a fully sponsored medical check-up. If you have already completed your medical check through a private clinic, please bring down your fully completed LTA medical form and X-ray results to our UberHub at 29 Paya Lebar Road.
Please note that the medical check-up is an important step in the PDVL process. If your medical results are still not submitted after June 30, 2017, your existing ATD may not be considered valid.
How do I know whether I can go down to collect my ATD?
Applicants who receive an email, and SMS stating their Batch Number are able to collect their ATD. Details for collection date and time will be stated in the email or SMS, and may not be the same for everyone.
I did not receive an SMS or email regarding collection, but I want to collect my ATD.
Only those who have received the SMS and/or email can collect their ATD letters during the designated dates. Uber FastLane will be releasing the ATDs in batches as and when we receive them from the LTA. This is to ensure a smooth and pleasant collection experience for all our driver-partners.
I have already completed my FastLane application, why have I not received a message to collect my ATD?
The LTA is working hard on clearing the bulk of PDVL applications they received as these require checks through multiple government agencies. Please be assured that if your application is submitted by June 30, 2017, LTA is committed to provide the ATD to all eligible drivers.
What is my next step after collecting my ATD?
With the ATD, you can continue to drive for Uber until June 30, 2018. Our FastLane team will be in touch to let you know when you can start your next step: PDVL Training.
At the moment, Uber is working with the Singapore Taxi Academy to ensure that all driver-partners have a smooth and relevant training experience. Until then, please drive safely.
What if I lose my ATD?
If this document is lost, you will need to personally approach the LTA at 10 Sin Ming Drive to request a replacement copy, and additional costs may occur.
