Boost multipliers are available for specific times and locations in-app. With Boost, your base earnings will be multiplied for all trips within a specified Boost zone during specified hours.
How Boost multipliers work
When an earnings Boost is active, you will see a live map on the home page of your Uber Driver app, divided into 12 sections. These 12 sections are the Boost zones.
Each week, Boost will be adjusted based on the:
- Availability of delivery partners; and
- Expected number of trip requests during each time of day.
Boost is a great guide for you to decide when and where to come online to do trips! Getting higher trip requests is as simple as following the higher Boost multiple, both in terms of location and timing!
Uber Eats Singapore is split into 12 boost zones:
- Pasir Ris • East • Geylang
- Punggol • North • Woodlands
- Bukit Batok • Jurong • West
- Novena • Downtown • Bukit Merah
We understand that demand around Singapore varies greatly between areas, even in such a small city.
To help you get a better idea of where to get trip requests, we have created a heatmap (left) depicting the zones where most trips usually start. Darker colours indicate that more trips start in those zones.

How is a Boosted trip fare calculated?
Nett earnings for a Boosted trip comprises of (base fare - Uber service fee) + Boost:
- $2.35 Pick Up Fee
- $1.15 Drop Off Fee
- $0.75 * Distance travelled in km
Here is an example of how a 1.5x Boost multiplier would work for a 2km motorcycle delivery:
Base fare: $2.35 + $1.15 + 2*($0.75) = $5.00 (before Uber Service Fee)
Boost is applied on the base fare, so Boost amount: $5.00 x 1.5 = $7.50
Nett Earnings = (Base fare - Uber Fee) + Boost amount that is NOT subject to Uber Fee:
($5.00 - 25% Uber Fee*) + ($5.00 x 1.5) = $3.75 + $7.50 = $11.25
You will be able to immediately see the amount you've made with the Boost multiplier in the Earnings tab of your app.
*Note: Uber Fee will differ based on whether you’re a cyclist, motorcyclist, walker or driver.
Do I need to pre-register or book a slot to qualify for Boost?
No. You will start seeing boost in your app within 2 weeks of activating your account. This is to help you familiarise yourself with the app and the concept of food delivery, without the added complexity of Boost.
BUT don’t let this stop you from starting trips in your first week with special incentives for new joiners, and our Minimum Earnings Programme for new motorcycle delivery partners.
These programmes and incentives often work out to compensate you for the absence of Boost in your first week. You may even end up earning MORE!
Our Minimum Earnings Programme helps new motorcycle delivery partners earn $1000 within their first 3 weeks with Uber Eats. Click here to find out how.
When are Boost multipliers applied?
Boost multipliers are applied based on the time block in which the restaurant requests for a delivery partner.
For example: Boost for 5PM to 6PM is 1.6x.
Restaurant Z requested for a delivery partner at 4:55 PM, but you accepted the trip at 5:10 PM. By default, the Boost for 4PM (let's say it was 1.4x) is applied for this trip. These trips are referred to as backlog orders.
If the Boost multiplier for 4PM (1.4x) was lower than 5PM's (1.6x), you will be reimbursed an additional $2 for every backlog order completed.
I should come online later in the Boost timeblock since I might receive a backlog order.
No! While it’s true that you might receive a backlog order from a lower Boost time block by coming online on the dot at the start of a new Boost timeblock, we will reimburse you $2 for every backlog order you picked up in order to compensate for the Boost multiplier difference.
Does Boost affect other ongoing promotions?
No, the Earnings Boost will be offered as the base incentive. All other promotions offered to you are additional.
If you have received email or text offers for other promotions, you will be eligible for them too!
Why are there different Boost multipliers for different partners?
As with any other incentive promotion, offers are subject to change and may differ from partner to partner.
The offers are made after taking partner's delivery behaviour into consideration, including their most frequented areas and the times they go online.
These promotions are designed to incentivise partners so that they can maximise their earnings.
How do tolls and fees affect Boost?
Boost is only applied to the fare, excluding tolls and other fees. Tolls will be paid as per policy.
Why didn't I get a Boost?
Boost only applies to trips beginning in the applicable Boost zones.
The most reliable way to know what incentives you are eligible for is to tap on the Earnings tab in your app, and then tap on Promotions. Here you will find current and upcoming promotions.
I have a trip that should have qualified for Boost but didn't receive it.
There could be many reasons why a trip that should have qualified for Boost was not paid.
If you feel that a past trip was missing Boost, use our in-app help to bring it to our attention.
