Clear, consistent and easy to understand
Thanks to your feedback, your in-app earnings are now more clear, and it is easier to understand how your earnings were calculated. Starting Thursday 22nd June, your in-app earnings will show you your net take home earnings per trip, i.e. the amount that is yours.
Easier to understand earnings - In your trip receipt, you’ll be able to see your take home net earnings from each trip. Previously, you needed to deduct Uber’s service fee from your rates to determine your earnings. Now, no math is required! Note: You will no longer see ‘Uber Fee’ under each trip receipt in-app.
In-app earnings breakdown - In order to provide more clarity in how your earnings are calculated, we have updated our trip receipts. You will now be able to see details such as Boost and Tolls for each trip.
- Fare Details: Click on 'Fare Details' at the bottom of every trip receipt to see the breakdown of what you earned, what the rider paid and what the Uber Service Fee was for the trip.
Note: Your take home earnings are not changing. You will continue to earn the base fare, time and distance rates you earn today, plus any added incentives and surge like today.
Note: Cancellation fee will also be represented on a net basis. Hence, a $6 Cancellation fee, on an uberX trip and 20% service fee rate will see a cancellation fee of $4.80.
Clearer, simpler earnings
Note: Your take home earnings are not changing: You will continue to earn the base fare, time and distance rates you earn today, plus any added incentives and surge.
