Receiving request along the way
Introducing Driver Destinations – where driver-partners like yourself can indicate where you’re heading so we can find trips that are on the way. We're consistently looking for ways to enhance our app and to better serve your needs. Based on your past feedback, we’re excited that this feature would help make your last trip of the day count even more.
How does it work?
Set a destination
Use this feature in your Uber Driver app to set a personal destination when you want to be matched only with riders traveling in a similar direction.
Search for nearby requests
Just start driving toward the destination — Uber will automatically filter requests for trips along the route.
Make money on your way
Whether it’s driving back home at the end of the day or running errands around town, now your own trips can turn into profits!
How do I set my destination?
It's very easy, follow 3 quick steps:
- Go online, tap the menu icon in the top corner of the app.
- Tap "SET A DESTINATION".
- Select a saved location or search for a new address.
- You will be unable to set a destination while you are already on a trip.
- Since not all riders have the same destination as yours, there might be a longer wait time for a ride request.
Frequently Asked Questions
How often can I set my destination?
A maximum of two destinations can be set every day. Whether you are on your way back home or towards areas with high demand, you can set your destination to earn fares that are along your route.
Please note that: Setting a further destination can accompany more riders along or near the route to your destination.
How are fares calculated?
Dynamic pricing will still apply normally on these trips. Any trips you take while in Driver Destination mode will also count towards incentives.
Can I use this function with my uberX or UberBLACK?
You can set your destination no matter you are driving uberX or UberBLACK.
Will riders have the exact same destination?
Not necessarily. Setting a personal destination in your app allows you to only receive trips going along or near the route to your destination. We try to make sure the pickup locations for these trips aren't too far out of your way.
