About the role 

Uber is hiring a Head of Media to join the Regional Marketing team based in Mexico City. This is an exciting opportunity to drive the development of integrated media campaigns to support the growth of the Uber Riders, Drivers and Eats business.

The ideal candidate will have to develop data-driven media strategies and tactical that drive positive ROI to Uber. These strategies and tactical must cover offline and online media, because that, knowledge about online it’s an important plus.

S/He will think creatively and analytically, provide leadership to growing team, and work collaboratively across the organization. Additionally, this candidate must be able to thrive in a fast-paced environment with a "roll up your sleeves" attitude and entrepreneurial spirit.

 

What You'll Do

  • Develop a pipeline for innovation across marketing channels, promotional offers and messaging, using A/B and multivariate tests to test hypotheses
  • Embrace knowledge of all changing media marketplace conditions, consumer trends, research/measurement evolutions, ad tech, and provide expertise internally to keep organization in the know
  • Strong Collaborative perfil, that drives to a strong partnership between areas, like Marketing, Creative, Analytics, CRM, Digital, Social, Experimentation
  • Collaborate with Product and Tech Leadership, and external vendors to build platforms and processes to enable customer targeting/segmentation, campaign execution and measurement at scale
  • Support the media agency and the internal team in Development of integrated media campaigns and plans that support Uber growth initiatives in all LaTam Countries while achieving efficiency KPIs
  • Provide leadership to internal team & media partners to drive optimization tactics that consistently improve ROI without losing sight of growth
  • Recommend spending levels and placement tactics across all media channels
  • Oversee media buying conducted by media agencies to ensure the strongest negotiations that result in efficient and effective media purchases in line with strategies and objectives
  • Present and sell through key findings and future plans to Senior internal stakeholders
  • Oversee media budgets, budget tracking and execution of authorized plans
  • Own strategic initiatives and ensure execution tracks against timelines, as well as unblocking progress through actionable next steps
  • Identify sources of growth / profitability efficiency in current or new areas through strategic thinking and creative analytics

 

What You’ll need

  • +15 years experience working with media, developing and executing massive campaigns
  • Ability to synthesize data, make data-driven decisions and execute media strategies
  • Excellent verbal, written communication and presentation skills, ability to organize informations and really good communications skills with teams
  • Self-motivated and strong collaborator
  • Online knowledge it’s a important plus
  • Offline knowledge it’s mandatory
  • Negotiation skills are an important plus
  • Managerial skills
