About The Role

 

Program Managers are the owners of team productivity. We promote visibility and alignment through effective communication, bring efficiency and results through continuous improvement and problem solving, and foster collaboration and teamwork.

 

You will act as the main cross-team point of contact for all marketing projects in Uber Latin America, constantly enforcing our internal process in order to ensure projects include all the right stakeholders, go through all project stages needed, get to market on time and with high-quality deliverables.

 

To succeed as a Program Manager, you need the ability to multitask, plan, organize and collaborate. Program managers juggle a wide variety of requests with competing deadlines and limited resources. Strong decision-making and prioritization are essential to make sure everything runs smoothly, and Program Managers need to be as organized as possible to schedule, monitor and adjust deadlines and resources as needed.

 

This position also requires significant collaboration, and Program Managers should have excellent stakeholder management skills. They need to know how to clarify decision accountability and effectively communicate requests and assignments, which includes getting team members to meet deadlines and following up when they don’t, pushing back when unrealistic requests are made and making sure everyone is overall satisfied with the project progress.

 

 

What you need

  • Work experience in Creative Agencies, managing accounts and management of multiple projects
  • Experience developing Integrated Marketing Campaigns
  • A self-starter who can work proactively and independently to solve problems, overcome obstacles and execute. Things change fast in our world so you'll need to be highly adaptable, resilient and calm under pressure.
  • A superb planner with excellent organization skills who can distill complex project timelines into simple calendars.
  • A great communicator who can articulate not just what's happening but why it matters.
  • A great listener who's always on the lookout for feedback.
  • A team player who enjoys working with others to get stuff done.
  • Great instincts to tell what's really important and meaningful from what's just noise.
  • Experience working in a large, complex, fast-moving organization.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management and relationship building skills.
  • Proven project management experience.
  • Fluent in Spanish and English.
  • Proficiency in G Suite products (Gmail, Google Calendar, Google Slides, Google Sheets, etc)
  • Proficiency in Smartsheet or a similar project management tool is absolutely necessary.
  • Additional skills required include time-management, an eye for detail and problem-solving skills.
What You’ll D
  • Be the main point of contact and facilitate communication between all Marketing subteams and also other teams in Uber Latin America for the specific projects you will manage.
  • Train Marketing team members, including new hires based in other office locations, on our internal process of how to pitch projects to the leadership team, plus how to plan, organize and execute them.
  • Facilitate project presentations on our bi-weekly approval meetings with leadership.
  • Identify if new project pitches are solving for an unaddressed business problem that has already been identified as part of our business strategy.
  • Use a prioritization framework to evaluate if new projects should be added to the roadmap or not.
  • Assess if the internal team has the availability to perform project tasks.
  • Coordinate on all outsourced requirements and the scheduling and delivery of those resources.
  • Manage the relationship with freelancers, contractors and/or agencies.
  • Create schedules, monitor resource requirements and assign specific people to complete each task and subtask of the campaign or project, while making sure that all work will be completed with high quality and within the scheduled deadlines.
  • Hold team members accountable for delivering project tasks in time and with high quality.
  • Reviews daily workloads and adjust project tasks as needed making sure that the appropriate resources are being allocated and workloads are evenly maintained.
  • Keep in contact with team members regarding current deadline status and any issues that may need attention.
  • Establish and re-evaluate priorities, adjusting the project timeline and workload as demands and priorities change.
  • Make sure each team member knows the assignments that they need to complete and the due dates.
  • Inform team members when they are required to provide more information to complete work.
  • Set and enforce a communication cadence to keep all stakeholders updated on progress.
  • Conduct job status meetings to gather and share information, go over tasks and identify if there are any roadblocks.
  • Work with team members on contingency and delegation plans for project tasks when they're out of the office.
  • Conduct 1:1 and/or group interviews to identify areas of improvement in our project management process.
  • Innovate to find new ways of improving integration, collaboration and satisfaction in each project.
  • Innovate for gains in efficiency while operating with a goal-oriented mindset. Achieving better results with less by rebalancing resources and timelines to support continuous improvement.
  • Create high impact materials for any audience, in Google Slides and Google Sheets, reducing complex or complicated information into concise messages and using knowledge of stakeholders’ agendas to ensure maximum engagement.
  • Create, edit and publish content on our internal knowledge base platform (Confluence).
  • Create project plans and calendars in our project management tool (Smartsheet)
