Uber Eats’ path to success originates from a strong local presence, deeply involving our restaurant and courier partners in this journey. The City Managers are embodying this strategy, by driving the development of specific cities and areas, with a strong focus on top restaurants. This role is a rare opportunity to help grow Uber Eats in the Netherlands with a strong sense of ownership.

 

This role calls for a rare combination of operational mindset, savvy number-crunching and exceptional relationship management. You should be comfortable in an "all hands on deck" environment, love solving problems, thrive in a startup culture, and above all be passionate about our restaurant partners.

What You’ll Do

  • You will drive the business performance of Uber Eats in one of the key cities in the Netherlands by focussing on our restaurant partners.
  • You will create long-term relationships with the most important restaurant partners in your city, ultimately maximizing their financials, marketing efforts, engagement and satisfaction. You’ll be a key influence in their delivery business.
  • You will identify key restaurants to acquire to keep enriching the selection already available on Uber Eats, and coordinate with our dedicated sales team to make sure you close the deal. You’ll build the best restaurant offering in your city.
  • You will acquire extensive knowledge of your city to identify further options to keep developing Uber Eats (opening hours extension, new suburbs to cover, partnerships to close etc.)
  • Problem solve complex issues either by finding a solution yourself or by escalating issues within the organisation. You make sure issues of our top restaurant partners are prioritised and solved.
  • Process design and optimisation: you design, develop and optimise processes that enable us to provide the best service to our restaurant partners at scale.
  • Act as an ambassador of Uber Eats mission, brand, and product in your city

What You’ll Need

  • 1-3 yrs professional experience with great business acumen. Sales, account management or other relationship management experience preferred
  • Desire to work with top restaurants and building a business together
  • Extraordinary listening, communication and persuasion skills
  • Problem solving skills: when you see a problem, you work hard and think out of the box until you fix it
  • Data driven mindset: capable to run analysis and/or understand data and transform it into relevant insights
  • Project Management: good organization & time management skills
  • Highly autonomous: able to work with minimal oversight
  • Professional proficiency in English and Dutch
