About the Role

 

 

At Uber, providing world-class customer support to riders and driver partners is a core feature of our product experience. Delivering this quality of support isn’t easy - it takes leaders who can understand Uber’s operations, adapt to our constantly changing business, and help create solutions.

 

The Analytics and Insights Manager role will report to the APAC CommOps Head of Strategy, Planning & Analytics and be responsible for crafting reports, developing analyses, build tools and processes and distilling actionable insights on core support and business metrics to enable data driven decision-making. You will partner with the regional community operations teams to generate actionable data insights and solutions from Uber’s large datasets to improve customer experiences that are scalable and consistent.

What You’ll Do
  • Support building tools and dashboards, analyzing experiments and rolling out projects
  • Actively build an analytics roadmap aimed at generating insights and actionable results that will help drive operational and strategic decisions across the business
  • Lead and prioritize different inbound requests and asks from relevant parties to ensure that you are working on the projects that are the most impactful and the highest priority for the business
  • Ensure that we are using the data available to us in the most valuable way
  • Set strategic priorities, translate them into concrete projects & work closely with teams across the region to deliver on execution at its highest potential
  • Effectively navigate a matrixed environment with local operations, product, strategy, research & design, finance and other senior leadership.

 

What You’ll Need
  • BA/BS/Masters in Finance, Economics, Business, Engineering, or other quantitative focus
  • Minimum of 5 years of deep, hands-on management of functions that included combinations of the following: operations, business analytics, marketing, customer loyalty and retention, and project management
  • The ability to turn data into relevant and actionable insights
  • An innate ability to think strategically
  • Data driven decision making mentality and sound business judgment through strong analytical thinking and experimentation
  • High energy and motivational leadership driven by personal influence and example with direct staff, peers, and senior leaders across all company functions
  • Experience working closely and communicating effectively with internal and external stakeholders in an ever-changing, rapid growth environment with tight deadlines.

The APAC CommOps S&P team exists to bridge the gap between global and regional teams, bringing “Glocal” to life. We focus on BAU, delivering insights, driving improvements and harmonizing processes across the region/ globe.
