Working in Tokyo
Japan is our fastest-growing market in the world, and it’s only the beginning. Our growing 150 person Tokyo-based team is changing the way people and things move for millions across Japan, with headquarters on the 31st floor of Mori Tower in Roppongi with breathtaking city views, modern facilities, and uniquely Uber amenities.

Out of this world! Uber Eats makes our first food delivery to space
We are proud to share that Uber Eats made our first ever food delivery to space. Expanding our global footprint beyond earth’s surface has been a longtime dream and we are thrilled to partake in a small piece of history. We teamed up with entrepreneur and delivery superfan, Yusaku Maezawa, to hand-deliver beloved ready-to-eat canned Japanese dishes to the astronauts at the International Space Station.
What makes us Uber
Movement, in all its forms, is fundamental to life, to freedom, to opportunity, and to the communities we serve. And we get to reimagine it: how do we make it more efficient, more affordable, more accessible, more magical? We get to build and look ahead, but we have to live in the real world and all its complexities and nuances. It’s a challenging task, but it’s what makes us different—and makes us Uber.
