Uber and Samsung Kick-Off Partnership

We are thrilled to announce our new partnership with Samsung, where over the next year, Uber will be featured at the top of the Galaxy Gifts widget on Samsung’s new flagship phones, the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge, along with other select Samsung models such as the Galaxy Note 4.

Samsung users in the US who are new to the Uber platform will enjoy their first ride for free (up to $25) via the Galaxy Gifts offer. Uber will offer discounts to users in additional countries in the coming months.

We are excited to think about the combination of Samsung’s reach and Uber’s global footprint – 300 cities across 56 countries – and its impact on getting riders around the world wherever they need to go whenever they choose at the touch of a button.
