Uber Elevate Summit Terms and Conditions

The Uber Elevate Summit 2019 ("Summit") will take place at the Reagan Center in Washington, DC (the "Venue") on June 11 and June 12, 2019. These Terms and Conditions (the "Agreement") are made by and between Uber Technologies, Inc. ("Uber") and you, the "Registrant." This Agreement includes and incorporates by reference the Uber Privacy Policy, which governs the information you provide to Uber as part of this registration process, as well as the Code of Conduct for this event. Payment and cancellation policy

The registration fee for Summit registration will depend on your ticket type. All fees must be paid at the time of registration. Once payment is finalized, no adjustment, reimbursements, or discounts may be applied, and all fees are non-refundable. All tickets for the Summit are non-transferable, and Uber will not accommodate requests for substitution. Any purported transfer or assignment is null and void.


Government, academic, and nonprofit rate

If you are a current full-time employee of any US federal, state, or local government agency, or a current full-time employee of any international government agency, you may purchase a Summit ticket at a discount of 75% off the price of a standard ticket. If you are a current student, or a full-time employee of a nonprofit organization, you may purchase a Summit ticket at a discount of 50% off the price of a standard ticket. Such discounts may not be combined if you qualify under 2 or more categories above. If you purchase one of the discounted tickets described above, and present such ticket for entry to the Summit, you must also present a valid, unexpired form of identification, verifying your status as an employee or student within the categories above. Please note that if Uber is unable to verify or validate your status as such, you may be denied entry without refund.

Public officials and employees: please note Uber is a registered lobbyist employer at the US federal, state, and local levels. By registering for the Summit, you represent that you will comply with all applicable ethics rules and regulations in connection with your attendance, including any reporting obligations. If you are prohibited from accepting Uber hospitality at this event, arrangements can be made to provide you with an invoice. Please reach out to with any questions or to make such arrangements.


Photography, audio, and video recording

The Summit is held in a public space, and Uber, participants, exhibitors, sponsors, news organizations, or other companies may photograph, videorecord, or tape Summit activities. By registering and attending the Summit, you acknowledge that your participation and attendance may result in you being photographed or otherwise recorded. With respect to any such taping, photography, and recording by Uber, Uber shall be the exclusive owner of such, with the right, throughout the world, an unlimited number of times in perpetuity, to copyright, use, and license others to use, in any manner, all or any portion thereof or of a reproduction thereof, in connection with the Summit or otherwise. For purposes of clarity, you expressly waive any and all moral rights you may have in connection with your appearance.

The views expressed by any Summit attendee, speaker, exhibitor, or sponsor are not necessarily those of Uber or its affiliates and subsidiaries. All Summit attendees, speakers, exhibitors, and sponsors are solely responsible for the content of any and all individual or corporation presentations, marketing collateral, advertising, and online content.


Code of Conduct

Uber’s Code of Conduct for the Summit outlines the behavior that is expected of each attendee of the Summit and is incorporated into this Agreement by reference. The Code of Conduct is accessible here.


Force majeure

Due to reasons outside of Uber’s control, the Summit may be postponed, rescheduled, or canceled without liability on the part of Uber. Uber shall not be held responsible for any delay or failure in performance of its obligations hereunder to the extent such delay or failure is caused by fire; flood; strike; civil, governmental, or military authority; acts of God; acts of terrorism; acts of war; epidemics; the availability of the Venue; or other similar causes beyond its reasonable control. In the event the Summit cannot be held or is postponed for one of the above reasons, the Summit shall not be liable to any attendee for any damages, costs, or losses incurred, such as transportation costs, accommodations costs, or financial losses, and shall only be responsible for refunding the registration fee to the attendee.


Release of liability/indemnity

You, for yourself, and your heirs, personal representatives, or assigns, hereby release, waive, covenant not to sue, and agree to indemnify and hold harmless Uber and its subsidiaries, affiliates, officers, directors, employees, and Summit vendors and volunteers (the “Uber Indemnified Parties”) from any and all claims, demands, causes of action, damages, or losses, known or unknown, which may arise out of or relate in any way to your attendance at the Summit, excluding gross negligence or willful misconduct on the part of such Uber Indemnified Parties.
