Vehicle inspection

You are required to provide a 19-point vehicle inspection form in order to drive with Uber. Vehicle inspection forms will expire one year after the inspection date.

The Uber Denver Greenlight Hub offers $15 vehicle inspections on-site. For Greenlight Hub location information, go here.

Additionally, for a list of partnering vehicle inspection sites, please visit our vehicle inspections page.

Other required documents

  • You are required to provide your driver's license in order to drive with Uber. Please make sure your name is listed and that the license has not expired.

The license does not have to be a Colorado license. We will also accept an application or receipt for a new or renewal license.

  • You'll also need a copy of your vehicle registration. If it has expired, please also include a picture of your application for renewal or your license plates with non-expired tags.

Your vehicle must be registered in Colorado. Temporary/dealer registrations are also accepted.

  • Please make sure you provide proof of insurance that lists both you as a driver and the vehicle that you will be driving.

Your insurance will not be approved if you are not listed as a driver. Please make sure that the insurance is not expired.

Uber vehicle decals

Under local regulations for Denver, Colorado, all drivers must display an Uber decal on their vehicle while online. Place them on your front passenger windshield and rear passenger windshield facing outward. You can remove them when you decide to go offline and save them for the next time. Pro tip: keep the paper they come with to place your sticker on when not in use.

Once you begin driving with Uber, we'll mail you a decal. You should receive it within 7 business days. If you ever need a new decal after you begin driving, you can request a new one to be mailed to you. You can also pick one up at your local Greenlight Hub.
