When driving at ELP, Learn how to receive these trip requests and cash in on the action.
Uber is a smart option for travelers heading to the airport. At ELP, simply drop off riders at their requested terminal on the departures level. It's important to keep the Uber partner app on until you exit airport property.
On September 25, 2018, we introduced Rematch, a new feature that may help you get requests faster at the airport. With Rematch, when you drop off a rider at the airport, you may receive a new request quickly instead of having to wait in the airport FIFO (first-in, first out) queue. If you don’t receive a request within a few moments, this means there are no Rematch trips available and you should go to the FIFO area if you’d like to wait for another request.
Per ELP Airport authority, Uber partners are not to wait in the parking lot contained within Northrop Rd and Terminal Dr—Please see the area marked in red on the map. Waiting in this red lot could result in a fine or penalty from the airport.
Rideshare drivers should wait for trip requests in the blue parking lot at the southeast corner of Piper Ct and American Dr.
When a trip request is received, partners can exit the parking lot by heading south on American Dr, and proceed to the designated rideshare pickup area.
Uber users at El Paso International Airport who request rides will be instructed to meet you at the designated rideshare pickup area in blue. This area is located just outside the terminal as indicated on the map.
