Pickups at the airport

How pickup requests work

It's easy to receive trip requests from riders leaving the airport. However, these trips work a little differently than other requests. To receive a trip request at the airport, you need to enter one of the two airport parking lots.

Here’s how it works:

  • There is no designated Uber waiting area so you will need to wait in one of the two parking lots
  • When entering the airport you will need to enter the parking lot and take a ticket
  • While in the lot, the first 15 minutes are free
  • After 15 minutes a non-refundable parking fee is charged
  • You may be asked to show your waybill. To access it, tap the “Info” button that appears in your app.

Keep in mind:

  • Uber partners must obey posted parking restrictions. Uber will not reimburse any citation received while in a restricted parking area.
  • Waiting for a trip request in the taxi line is prohibited by Tweed New Haven Airport Authority.
  • Waiting for a trip request in front of the terminal is prohibited.
  • Please note, if there are commercial vehicle restrictions posted, those restrictions apply to all Uber partners logged onto the Uber Driver app and waiting for trip requests.
Rides to the airport

How drop-off requests work

  • After 15 minutes, a non-refundable parking fee is charged
  • Staging at terminals or elsewhere on airport property is prohibited and may result in a citation
