About the Role

As Uber continues to expand its services and technologies to airports around the world, the Global Business Development (BD) team is looking for a charismatic, experienced and hands-on leader to grow our U.S. & Canada airport partnerships and make Uber an indispensable part of every travel experience. The Airports Business Development Manager is someone who is deeply interested in the long-term success of airports and thrives in a fast-paced technology company.

As an Airports Business Development Manager, you lead partnerships with Airports in the U.S. & Canada region and play an integral role on a cross-functional business unit team to set a vision and define and execute strategy for Uber’s airport program. You will be the face of Uber externally to a portfolio of priority airport partners, help Uber improve operations at airports and negotiate high priority partnerships that ultimately drive revenue growth. This is a highly cross-functional role, as you will collaborate across internal teams including product, finance, compliance, policy, marketing and operations.

What You’ll Do

  • Build, cultivate,​ and negotiate Uber’s top airport partnerships in the US & Canada region
  • Represent the Airports Business team internally and externally at senior executive levels
  • Collaborate closely with Uber’s product, policy and operations teams to set the industry vision, partnership strategy and advise on cross-functional processes to support ongoing airports management
  • Lead the airport deal process from relationship building to negotiation to post-contract optimization
  • Create scalable internal programs for sourcing, on-​boarding, and developing airport relationships

What You'll Need

  • Minimum 7 years of experience in business development, which may include management consulting, public-private partnerships, enterprise account management or government affairs
  • Industry expertise in airports industry and passion for this space
  • Proven business development track record of building and executing commercial deals and complex partnerships
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with ability to define and communicate compelling vision
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and at levels of the organization. You can work effectively with anyone from a CEO to a in-the-field ops manager
  • Strong use of insights and data-driven decision making
  • Passion for Uber’s mission and ability to thrive under pressure in an unstructured, fast paced environment
  • Extremely proactive and self starter mentality with strong organizational skills
