Since we’ve launched Uber in Istanbul last June, our top priority has been to provide Istanbullers a safe, reliable and best-in-class transportation option. But we know sometimes you just want to get from point A to B with a lower cost option.

Today, on top of our two existing options of uberBLACK and XL, we’re opening up the Uber platform to taxis in Istanbul, bringing a safe, low-cost and seamless option for riders.

To celebrate, uberTAXI will be 20% cheaper than normal taxi until March 19th 2015!

Safer At Uber we give utmost importance to safety measures and all drivers on the system have their background checked. Riders get to see the driver’s name, photo and license plate on the app and call them in case they need to.
