About the Role
Uber Freight Support Operations is pioneering how best to support shipper and carrier-partners. We’re looking for candidates that are problem solvers at their core, that thrive in a fast paced environment, that enjoy person-to-person interactions, and that are eager to create an environment to pilot new support products and modalities. What You’ll Do
Own and answer inbound phone calls and emails to help solve our shipper-partners’ logistical needs in real time
Serve as the voice of the customer, identifying and escalating common issues to our product and engineering teams
Maintain excellent interpersonal skills and professionalism while delivering the best customer service to our existing customer accounts
Manage any issues that come up in the normal operation of freight movement
Pilot new support products and modalities to constantly improve our operation
Participate in the development, implementation and automation of critical business processes and tools used to track support process, forecasting, pipeline management and performance
What You’ll Need
Bachelor’s degree required
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to establish trust and effective working relationships with others on an external and internal basis
Ability to “learn on the fly” and adjust and adapt in a dynamic, fast paced work environment
Ability to balance attention to detail with swift execution—we need to do things quickly, and we need to do them well
Demonstrated ability to solve complex problems under pressure
Excellent written and verbal communication skills including ability to listen effectively; to confidently and diplomatically express opinions and voice concerns with other team members
Solid computer and time management skills
Analytical and critical thinking skills
Bonus Points If
Minimum 1 year of experience logistics, operations or sales industry
Zendesk experience preferred, but not required

The Shipper Platform team works to automate the way that shippers interact with the overall freight marketplace. The team serves as a partner to our external clients and internal ops team to grow business and drive efficiency.
