Inside Sales Academy
Life at Uber
At Uber we're constantly reimagining the way the world moves. We love going after the big problems and seizing the opportunities that come with challenging work. This means we sometimes have to make trade-offs and deal with difficult decisions that must be made. But it also means that here you will have an incredible opportunity to learn and grow. We encourage you to learn by doing and drive the kind of growth that best fits you.
Uber values
At Uber we’re reimagining the way the world moves for the better. We are helping people go anywhere and get anything. And we do it on a global scale, at the speed of now.
What makes us Uber
Movement, in all its forms, is fundamental to life, to freedom, to opportunity, and to the communities we serve. And we get to reimagine it: how do we make it more efficient, more affordable, more accessible, more magical? We get to build and look ahead, but we have to live in the real world and all its complexities and nuances. It’s a challenging task, but it’s what makes us different—and makes us Uber.
The Sales Academy Journey
Interview
The recruitment process for Sales Academy starts with a phone call with a recruiter to learn more about the program and confirm mutual interest. You’ll then have one phone interview with the Sales Academy Program team, followed by a virtual onsite interview with 2-3 members of the Uber Eats Sales team. All candidates will be expected to complete an exercise/role play as part of the onsite interview.
Training begins
Congratulations! You’ve arrived at Uber on the Uber Eats Sales team and you’ll begin to learn the fundamentals of selling and using our tools, processes, and systems. Training will be led by your Sales Academy Team Lead, whose role is to ensure you have all of the access, support and training to be great in your new role.
Start putting your new skills to use
Uber Eats Account Representatives primarily focus on bringing new small-and-medium-sized merchants (not necessarily only restaurants) onto the Uber Eats platform. Around week 4, you’ll start to put your new skills to use, and will begin contacting potential merchants and restaurants to talk to them about signing up for Uber Eats. You’ll leverage skills in emailing and cold-calling to clearly communicate the value of Uber Eats and its products to prospective clients, and to smoothly activate accounts for the best merchants.
Graduation
After 6 weeks of training, you are officially ready to join your City team! You’ll be held accountable for achieving monthly targets and sales goals.
