About the Role

 

Our business in Latin America depends on more than 1.5 million monthly active driver and courier partners, who in turn rely on Uber for all or a portion of their livelihood. As independent work through platforms like Uber becomes a viable source of self-employment, a conversation about how to treat those working on them is beginning to take shape.

 

This is a critical pillar for our business sustainability, so we are looking for someone that can develop and implement a Driver relationship strategy for Latin America. In this role, the person must have a deep understanding of drivers' reality and the Uber business, as well as a background in customer relationship and engagement.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead the Ops strategy of future of work (FoW) for gig economy and discussions with key stakeholders (leadership, legal, policy, S&P, territories)
  • Implement and develop a driver relationship strategy for the short and the long term, engaging with the driver community and internal areas that impact the driver experience
  • Further develop and integrate our driver platforms in order to provide a more engaging and coherent experience to drivers
  • Expand and maintain the Driver Relationship Framework process for Latam
  • Engage on the Driver Relationship global Ops community for best practices
  • Work with product to bring features to the Latam market that will contribute to the driver experience we want to design based on FoW strategy

 

What You’ll Need

  • A minimun of 3 years of high performing work experience in startup, strategy, operations, analytics, business development, or a variety of other specialty roles with demonstrated ability in quantitative fields, but we will consider candidates with less experience if they meet our other requirements
  • An interest in and passion for Uber business
  • A deep passion for our customers (drivers) and a desire to improve customer experience
  • Background in customer relationship and engagement
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to interact with internal and external partners
  • Great organizational skills
  • The ability to work autonomously and own and complete projects
  • To be a problem solver at heart
