About the Role
The HR Business Partner is a key leadership role - representing the People Team, accountable for the talent strategy and having accountability for execution of HR in the Brazil Community Operations Teams. You’ll act as an account manager for our Customer Support Teams and their leadership team - behind the scenes orchestrating across the different People Teams to ensure that all HR processes and programs are seamlessly executed to the highest of standards and delivered with the appropriate business lens. You’ll be well-versed in all things HR at Uber and work closely with their business leaders to understand the business and talent needs and ensure the central People & Places teams are designing and executing accordingly. You are hands on - not afraid to roll up your sleeve and get stuff done - and approach your work with a people lens and a data-driven, analytical mindset. This role requires a strategic understanding of the business – and while ensuring HR is executed with excellence today you’ll have an eye on the future, thinking about the business needs of tomorrow and developing the talent required. This role requires you to act as a consultant to management on business issues, and a coach to leaders and managers, ultimately equipping them be better at managing their people. Most importantly, you are the stewards of our cultural norms and are well connected to our people, providing a pulse on the overall health of the organization.
What You’ll Do
Partner with your clients to roll out all key people processes (performance management, compensation, benefits, development programs, etc)
Build all HR Processes from the scratch and connect the business with HR centers of expertise
Consult with managers and provide guidance and coaching when appropriate
Be knowledgeable about our business
Provide guidance and input on workforce planning, succession planning, compensation, benchmarking
Identify training needs for business units and individual executive coaching needs
Maintain in depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance
Partner with legal department as needed/required
What You’ll Need
8 Minimum Years of Experience with Human Resources
Strong understanding of HR programs including compensation, performance management, and leadership development
Understanding of various employment laws and their impact on HR matters
A track record of providing HR consultation to senior leadership on strategic initiatives
Demonstrated ability to partner within and outside of HR
Knowledge and experience in technology businesses including a familiarity with global HR practices and policies
Unquestioned integrity with assertiveness, presence, and confidence. Excellent influencing skills at all levels in the organization and extreme flexibility to be proactive in a fast paced, ever changing environment. Competence in making timely, effective, principles-based decisions
Tenacity and ability to build from scratch are imperative
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills; must be an articulate and persuasive communicator including excellent presentation skills; analytical and problem solving abilities.
