A successful competitive strategy is essential to LatAm’s growth and financial contribution targets in 2018, and we require a dedicated team of high performers and thought leaders. The Regional Market Intelligence Associate will be responsible of creating actionable insights from the ground up, crafting strategies and tactics, ensure the development of existing and new market data collection processes, and scaling best practices to the Mega-Region.
The ideal candidate for this role will have strong analytical skills, an appetite to process and synthesize insights, navigate through stakeholders’ needs, and be obsessed about making data-driven decisions. The position requires a strong ability to coordinate with multiple POCs across the region, manage relationships with functional areas and driving leadership buy-in.
The role is based in either Mexico City or Sao Paulo and implies coordination with the Regional leadership team as well as local country Market Intelligence POCs.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
Manage our regional M.I. processes: Ensure we have the right systems in place to collect and process internal and external data, own the data digesting efforts across the Region, be creative to find new data sources, innovate to develop better processes, and hold POCs across the region accountable of local Market Intelligence responsibilities.
Intel & Insights generation: Design methods to analyze market information, provide insights and shape strategies to guide Uber’s overall strategy and contribute to LatAm’s thought leadership.
Manage relationships with stakeholders: Manage relationships with functional areas (Comms, Legal, Policy, Transactions, BD, etc.) as well as country MI POCs to ensure alignment in the ideation, execution and deployment of our strategies
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
+3 years of work experience (Consulting, Business Intelligence, Investment Banking)
Top of the line Excel and data management skills
SQL proficiency is necessary, Python and R knowledge are a huge plus
Strong communication skills is a must
Strong business sense and creative approach with data to identify gaps in our value proposition
Ability to work with limited information and an intense drive to keep Uber as the platform of choice
