About the Role


Uber Freight is hiring a growth manager to evaluate and optimize In this role you will oversee operations regarding our website including but not limited to: SEO, Adtech, and CMS Management.

To accomplish these goals, we're looking for a rock star to help optimize and build on our existing web presence. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of developing data-driven strategies and tactics that drive positive ROI for e-commerce or mobile app companies. They will think creatively and analytically and work collaboratively across the organization. Additionally, this candidate must be able to thrive in a fast-paced environment with a “roll up your sleeves” attitude and entrepreneurial spirit.

What You’ll Do

  • Passion for Uber Freight’s mission and the company’s hybrid technology / operations nature.
  • Oversee all aspects of the marketing website including: A/B testing, pixel management, CMS management, and SEO.
  • Embrace knowledge of all changing media marketplace conditions, consumer trends, research/measurement evolutions, ad tech, and provide expertise internally to keep organization in the know.
  • Partner with Marketing Analytics team on all website health and ad hoc analyses.
  • Clearly communicate business requirements; partner with technology teams and external vendors to build software and processes to enable customer targeting/segmentation, campaign execution and measurement at scale
  • Promote continual creative improvement and lead programs to expected ROI with an understanding of cost of acquisition, retention and lifetime value
  • Provide daily, weekly, and monthly reports and statistics to monitor and adjust key marketing programs in order to maximize growth
  • Present and sell through key findings and future plans to senior internal stakeholders
  • Drive vision and execution as an important member of the Marketing
  • Lead and manage site projects and initiatives.
  • Develop systems to make continual site updates on time/scope.
  • Align and manage stakeholders, creative, technical, business teams and agencies.
  • Estimate work efforts, define milestones and manage resources accordingly. Track progress, understand dependencies, and communicate status on projects.
  • Manage projects from creative and technical scope determination, resource planning, & task tracking and results.
  • Develop testing plans, and manage QA.
  • An “owner” personality: You’re biased toward action, a great collaborator and master disambiguator/simplifier. You never stop pushing towards clarity and delivery.
  • Finger-tippinesses with data: You just go get the data you need with no muss/fuss and can whip it into an insightful story with no help. You know how to leverage data to make decisions and drive growth. You have experience running rigorous multivariate testing.
  • A master of test-and-learn growth hacking: You possess an uncanny ability to run and iterate on highly effective automated marketing campaigns.
  • Grittiness: You never hesitate to roll up your sleeves and tackle something hands-on, you persevere when others fall away.


What You’ll Need

  • 8+ years of experience managing websites and executing large scale platforms.
  • Ability to synthesize data and make data-driven decisions.
  • Excellent verbal, written communication and presentation skills, ability to organize information in a high level way to communicate key points to partners
  • Familiarity with engineering and development process; experience managing technical scope, timing, and prioritization.
  • Strong analytical skills, and an ability to learn new systems and programs quickly.
  • Self-motivated and strong collaborator
