How to become eligible for trips at Queenstown Airport
To receive trip requests to and from Queenstown Airport, you’ll need to accept the terms of an App Based Driver Agreement with Queenstown Airport. We recommend you seek independent legal advice before entering into an agreement with the Airport so that you understand what is required of you under that agreement.
If you already have an agreement with Queenstown Airport, you will need to complete the registration process again to become eligible for Uber trips to and from Queenstown Airport.
What’s next?
- Once you have submitted your registration request and it is approved by Queenstown Airport, you will receive instructions to set up an online account.
- If you already have an online account with Queenstown Airport, it is optional to create a new one.
- The Airport will issue you with an access card that can be collected from the Information Desk at the Airport.
- Once the Airport has confirmed your registration to Uber, you will become eligible for trips to and from Queenstown Airport.
Pickup Walkthrough
How pickups work at Queenstown Airport
1. Enter the virtual queue Once you have registered with Queenstown Airport, place yourself in the airport queue by heading to the designated waiting area on Lucas Place shown in your app. The designated waiting area is the only location where driver-partners can receive trip requests.
Once you are inside the waiting area, your Uber App will show a number range at the top of your screen indicating your position in the queue.
2. Accept a trip request and head to the airport terminal Once you are at the front of the queue, you will receive the next available trip request. In order to meet your rider, follow the navigation to the Rideshare Pick Up area in front of the terminal. You must use your access card to pass through the boom gate to access the Rideshare Pick Up Area.
