Gotham City PD hits the gaslamp!

The biggest event in the Gaslamp is back! The costumes will be wilder, the venues fuller, and the streets busier at this year’s global pop culture festival. And Uber? Well, we’ve kicked it up a notch too. We’re teaming up with FOX to deliver an on-demand experience that will put you in the back seat of a patrol car! Yes, you heard us right. During the times outlined below, there will be specially-designed GOTHAM police cars available through the app. Inside the GOTHAM-branded cars, passengers will get exclusive swag plus a sneak preview of special GOTHAM content. Keep a close eye out on Uber SD Twitter and Instagram for updates.

When: Thursday, July 24 – Sunday, July 27

Thursday: 4:00 PM – 10:00 PM

Friday: 2:00 PM – 12:00 AM

Saturday: 12:00 PM – 12:00 AM

Sunday: 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM

HOW TO REQUEST:

1. Open your Uber app

2. Toggle the vehicle slider to “GOTHAM PD” in the lower menu.

3. Request a ride in the Gaslamp*.

HOW IT WORKS

For the fans afoot in the Gaslamp who are Uber users, specially-designed Gotham City police cars will hit the San Diego streets to pick up passengers throughout the convention weekend—for free—via the Uber app, by selecting “GOTHAM PD” on the UBER slider. Inside the GOTHAM-branded cars, passengers will get a sneak preview of special GOTHAM content + swag. Those fans who are new to Uber and who sign up for the app using the code GOTHAMPD will get a free first ride up to $30, wherever Uber is available, in any vehicle type (excluding TAXI).

Trips must originate AND end in the Gaslamp. The GOTHAM PD cars will not pick up or drop off outside of the Gaslamp. Please see map below.
