How disbursements schedule work for Uber drivers in Mexico

Uber offers three ways to disburse your earnings into your bank account:

1. Weekly Payments (Free and available for all partners)

How the earnings are disbursed Your earnings amount is closed every Monday at 4 am, at the local time zone you created your Uber account. This amount will be sent to your registered bank account on the same day, however, the exact time of this disbursement depends on your bank processing, which can take up to 1 business day.

E.g.: If you ride from Monday to Sunday, at 4 am from the following Monday, your balance will be closed, and the amount earned will be sent to your bank account registered on the Uber Driver app. You may take up to 1 business day to receive this payment.

Important: During the holidays, payment processing by banks can suffer some delays. Because of it, your payments can be affected these days.

Tip: This disbursement is automatic, so you don't need to do anything: Keep your bank account updated on the Uber Driver app, and your earnings will be disbursed. If you want to change your bank account, you must do it before Monday 4 AM.

2. Flex Pay

Flex Pay allows you to disburse your earnings faster. You don't need to wait for the weekly payments, and you can transfer your earnings on any business day with a fee lower than the instant pay, and your money will be in your bank account within 1 business day. Flex pay can be requested 5 times daily, with a 10,000 MXN limit per week. To cover banking costs, a fee of 4 MXN for non fleet partners and 6 MXN for fleet partners will be charged for each disbursement requested.

Eligibility

To access this disbursement, if you are a non fleet partner, you need to have an active account, 25 trips completed using Uber and have 14 days active since the first trip. If you are a fleet partner*, you need to have an active account for at least 30 days. In case you are a new partner and were warned that you are not eligible, probably your account is under review.

To request the Flex Pay:

  1. Go to "Wallet."
  2. Select the "Transfer" option (This button will be available if you have more than 5 MXN in your balance)
  3. Touch "At least 1 business day" to set your frequency
  4. Select "Instant" to have the instant disbursement
  5. Slice your finger on the confirmation button if you want to proceed
  6. Done. You will receive the success message!

Transfers with early payout are completed within 1 business day – please note that the count may start the next day if the request is made after 4 pm. Although you can request an early payout at any time, banks do not process payouts on weekends or holidays.

Uber may change the amount of early payout fees without prior notice. You will always see the fee amount that will be charged before completing the request.

3. Instant Pay

nstant Pay allows you to receive your earnings in your chosen bank account anytime, even on weekends and holidays on time. You don't need to wait for weekly pay on Mondays; you can transfer your earnings whenever you request. Instant pay can be used five times daily with a weekly limit of 10,000 MXN. To cover banking costs, a fee of 7 MXN for non fleet partners and 9 MXN for fleet partners will be charged for each disbursements requested.

If you are a fleet partner*, you need to have an active account for at least 30 days. In case you are a new partner and were warned that you are not eligible, probably your account is under review.

How Instant Pay works:

  1. Go to "Wallet."
  2. Select the "Transfer" option (This button will be available if you have more than 8 MXN in your balance)
  3. Touch in "Instant" to set your frequency
  4. Select "Instant" to have the instant disbursement
  5. Slice your finger on the confirmation button if you want to proceed

The transfer time of your earnings is subject to processing delays, and in some cases, it may take up to 1 (one) hour to be properly processed.

Frequently asked questions

  • If you're loading earnings to your debit card, in most instances you’ll receive your cash right away. If you're transferring earnings to a bank account, processing times can vary depending on your bank. Some banks may take a few days to make your funds available.

  • All earnings are available to be cashed out, including earnings, tips, and reimbursements.

  • You may need to meet a certain trip threshold and/or be actively driving for a certain time to become eligible. If you aren't a new driver and were notified that you're not eligible for Flex Pay, your account may be under review. If none of these reasons applies to you, contact us by going to Help in the app.
