About the Role
As a Product Marketing Manager Intern, you will be the voice of the customer and drive global product marketing for a set of product teams within your designated focus area. Using these insights, you’ll develop product positioning that shapes product strategy and deeply resonates with our customers.
As a leader of a cross-functional team of PMs, Engineers, Data Scientists, Designers, Communications and Public Policy professionals, you’ll bring products to market and grow engagement and effectiveness through both the in-app experience and through a wide range of owned, earned, and paid marketing channels.
What You’ll Do
Identify key user and market needs: go deep on understanding rider and driver needs and decision-making; create data-driven, actionable insights
Own the narrative: Craft the positioning and messaging that shapes our product and marketing strategy; test and optimize across target audiences working closely with our brand and growth marketing teams to improve communication across the customer experience
Drive the go-to-market strategy: Build and scale the go-to-market plan for various products, including launch plans and marketing creative and content
Develop ongoing education and engagement campaigns: Create and execute campaigns that impact product adoption and usage
Tell the product story: Be the subject matter expert for Marketing, Communications, and Policy teams to craft broader stories about the benefits of riding or driving with Uber
What You’ll Need
Current enrollment in the first year of a full-time MBA program
Customer-obsessed: you have a demonstrated passion for marketing and product strategy
Top-notch at data-driven market research: you know your market, customers, and competition, and you’re skilled at bringing this information into your marketing strategies
Positioning guru: You have the ability to articulate the essence of products and the value they create; you can develop strategic positioning, a strong messaging hierarchy, and effective content strategy plan; you can also play copywriter
Execution-focused: You’re biased toward action, a great collaborator and master disambiguator/simplifier; you never stop pushing towards clarity and delivery
Experience working with a cross-functional product team, expertise managing stakeholders with diverse needs and perspectives

Rider - creating experiences riders love, and responsible for accelerating demand growth and engagement globally
Driver - creating experiences for drivers to earn money on the platform, and responsible for accelerating driver growth, engagement, and retention globally
New Mobility - expanding into new forms of rider mobility, creating more options to get from A to B including bikes, scooters and public transit on the Uber platform
Marketplace - delivering a reliable experience for riders and drivers through pricing, matching and promotions (uber.com/whatmovesus)
Money - creating and enhancing financial products for riders and drivers across the world
Uber for Business - creating the platform that enables organizations and large groups of people use Uber’s services together
