Inner Mission

The San Francisco Inner Mission is a diverse neighborhood home to a mix of thrift stores, coffeehouses, bookstores, restaurants, and more. This area boasts a vibrant music and arts scene, hosting festivals, parades, and fairs throughout the year.

Soma

SoMa, or the South of Market neighborhood, is home to AT&T Stadium, the home of the San Francisco Giants, as well as plenty of locally-owned coffee bars and pubs, restaurants, art galleries, and boutiques, some of which are housed in the district's old warehouses. With many office buildings and companies based here, many locals head to SoMa to work Monday through Friday and for nightlife on the weekends.

North Beach

Known as San Francisco's "Little Italy", North Beach is home to plenty of restaurants as well as the beloved Washington Square Park, which offers ample green space and hosts various events throughout the year. North Beach is a popular dining destination for locals and tourists alike, home to cafes with outdoor seating and fine dining spots. Other attractions in this neighborhood include City Lights bookstore and the Vallejo Street Stairway, which offers views of the Bay.

Mission Dolores

"The Mission" as it's called, is filled with popular coffee shops and restaurants; bars, and second-hand shops, making it a popular destination no matter the time of day. This neighborhood is also home to Dolores Park, which attracts people of all ages for picnics, partying, and people-watching. The area's popular residential area borders Valencia and Sanchez Streets, as well as 20th and 22nd Streets.

Financial District

San Francisco's Financial District is a bustling business hub filled with towering buildings and workspaces. Located here is the famous Transamerica Pyramid building, along with ample places to shop and dine. One option is Tadich Grill, which is the city's oldest restaurant. Other dining options include Wayfare Tavern and COI, which offers French-California fusion cuisine.

Union Square

Packed with places to shop, dine, and stay, Union Square is the city's commercial hub. Stores at Union Square include Nordstrom, Gucci, Williams-Sonoma, and many, many others. When it comes to mealtime, fast-food, fine dining, and everything in between can be found here. Several hotels also dot Union Square, including Kensington Park and the Westin St. Francis.
