Fisherman's Wharf

Located on the city's northern waterfront, Fisherman's Wharf is one of the most popular tourist destinations in San Francisco. One of the area's main attractions is Pier 39, a plaza filled with stores selling San Francisco-themed goods, sweet shops, and seafood restaurants. Another popular attraction here is Ghirardelli Square, a public area home to shops, restaurants, and of course, Ghirardelli chocolate shops.

Marina District

Situated on San Francisco's northern waterfront, the Marina District sits at the edge of the San Francisco Bay, boasting views of the Golden Gate Bridge and Alcatraz Island. "The Marina", as it's called, is picturesque and brims with shops, restaurants, and bars. Home to the Palace of Fine Arts, Fort Mason Center for Arts and Culture, and a vibrant Sunday Farmers' Market, there's no shortage of things to do and places to visit any day of the week in this neighborhood.

Golden Gate Park

This large urban park is one of the city's most beloved destinations. Home to an abundance of beautiful attractions, like the Music Concourse, The San Francisco Botanical Garden, the Japanese Tea Garden, and the Queen Wilhelmina Tulip Garden, there's no shortage of things to do outdoors in Golden Gate Park. With running trails and places for golfing, biking, and horseback riding, the park also attracts people looking for activity and exercise. The de Young, a fine arts museum, and The California Academy of Sciences attract visitors seeking an engaging indoor activity.

Union Square

Packed with places to shop, dine, and stay, Union Square is the city's commercial hub. Stores at Union Square include Nordstrom, Gucci, Williams-Sonoma, and many, many others. When it comes to mealtime, fast-food, fine dining, and everything in between can be found here. Several hotels also dot Union Square, including Kensington Park and the Westin St. Francis.

North Beach

Known as San Francisco's "Little Italy", North Beach is home to plenty of restaurants as well as the beloved Washington Square Park, which offers ample green space and hosts various events throughout the year. North Beach is a popular dining destination for locals and tourists alike, home to cafes with outdoor seating and fine dining spots. Other attractions in this neighborhood include City Lights bookstore and the Vallejo Street Stairway, which offers views of the Bay.

Inner Mission

The San Francisco Inner Mission is a diverse neighborhood home to a mix of thrift stores, coffeehouses, bookstores, restaurants, and more. This area boasts a vibrant music and arts scene, hosting festivals, parades, and fairs throughout the year.
