Segovia's Tavern in Monterey opened in 1937, making it one of the oldest family-run bars in the area. The space retains much of its original charm, with a curved and arched wooden bar, low ceilings, and matador-inspired artwork throughout, including a bullfight mural painted in muted colors and a matador stained-glass panel. Comfy mid-century cocktails chairs, barstools, and banquettes and a stylish, arched fireplace add to the charm of the place, and the delightful house and specialty cocktails are colorful, fresh, and strong.
