A well-known landmark, Sather Gate leads to the center of the University of California Berkeley campus. Completed in 1910, this landmark was designed by John Galen Howard and constructed by Giovanni Meneghetti. Sather Gate is fashioned in the ornate Classical Revival Beaux-Arts style. A popular place for sightseeing and potentially grabbing a selfie, Sather Gate has been recently refurbished so it's as grand as ever. Many people who come to tour the campus make a specific stop at this landmark to enjoy its intricate workmanship.
