Located in the Berkeley Hills, Lake Chabot Regional Park developed around the Lake Chabot Reservoir, which was once the primary source of water for the East Bay. Today, Lake Chabot is stocked with trout and catfish and is the site of an annual fishing derby. The park surrounding Lake Chabot has miles of trails for hiking, biking, and running as well as picnic areas, horseshoe pits, and a fitness zone with exercise machines. Canoes and paddle boats are available to rent from the Lake Chabot Marina & Café.
