Located in Golden Gate Park, the Japanese Tea Garden was originally built for the 1894 World's Fair. The traditional, well-manicured Japanese garden now covers five acres dotted with pagodas, stone lanterns, koi ponds, and a zen garden. In March and April, the cherry trees bloom throughout the garden, showing their pink blossoms. Its Tea House overlooks the gardens and serves up traditional Japanese refreshments.
