This famed Gateway Arch, also known as the Dragon Gate, marks the entrance to San Francisco’s iconic Chinatown neighborhood, where Asian art, architecture, food, and shopping abound. Based on the ceremonial gates found in Chinese villages, the gate was installed in 1970, and it’s since become one of the most photographed attractions in the city, beautifully adorned with fish and dragon sculptures and flanked by large, stately lion statues.
