San Francisco's Aquarium of the Bay is a public aquarium at the edge of Pier 39 on the Embarcadero. Showcasing and working to conserve Northern California aquatic life, the aquarium is home to 20,000 marine animals, including sharks and rays, octopus and jellyfish, and sea lions and river otters, all swimming and frolicking in beautifully recreated habitats. Exhibits include Go With The Flow, featuring ambient lighting and a cylinder tank chock full of gorgeous, glowing Moon Jellies, and Under The Bay, featuring 300 feet of acrylic tunnels that put you right there in the water with the anchovies, sharks, bay rays, and skates.
