Albany Bulb
Albany Bulb
Albany Bulb
1 Buchanan St, Albany, CA
Formerly a landfill owned by the city of Albany, the Albany Bulb is the tip of a peninsula that juts out from the east shore of the San Francisco Bay. Created in 1963 and part of the Eastshore State Park, The Bulb is adjacent to Albany Beach and is a popular spot for locals and tourists. Home to a variety of unsanctioned public art, including sculptures and murals, The Bulb can't be developed due to instability, but it's a great spot for a hike or a picnic featuring eye-popping views of the bay.
