Uber Reserve Terms of Use (United States)
Uber Reserve trips are subject to the following terms and conditions (“Reserve Terms”). These Reserve Terms supplement the General Terms of Use (“General Terms”), which govern your use of the Services. Terminology in these Reserve Terms that is not otherwise defined has the meanings in the General Terms.
Key Points (read full text for other critical details):
- Uber doesn't guarantee a driver will accept your reservation request and “Reservation Confirmed” does not mean a driver has accepted. You can see your driver’s details in the app when a driver has accepted.
- Cancellation fees will be waived at any time, including within one hour of a trip, if you cancel before you get the driver's details.
- Reserve prices are different - and may be higher - than on-demand prices for the same trip.
- Pickup and dropoff times are estimates and may change based on traffic and other real-world factors.
When you request a Reserve trip, the trip price you see will be an estimate that includes a Reservation Fee. This fee varies depending on the pickup address and/or the day and time of the trip but is always included in the upfront price. It helps pay for the driver's additional wait time and time/distance spent traveling to the pickup location.
Your ride price may increase if your trip's length, duration, or route changes. Uber doesn't guarantee a driver will accept your ride request.
For Uber Platinum trips, upon booking your reservation, we may share your pickup and dropoff details with third-party fleet partners for the purposes of fulfilling the trip.
You may be charged a Cancellation Fee for a requested Reserve trip if you have been matched with a driver and (1) you, your family profile member, or your guest rider cancels your request within 60 minutes of the trip, or (2) after the pickup time, the rider does not meet their driver within the allotted Wait Time, and the driver cancels. Wait Times and Cancellation Fee amounts vary by ride type and by location. Refer to Reservations Terms and Conditions in the Uber app for Wait Times and Cancellation Fee amounts that apply to each ride type.
You will receive a notification when your driver is on the way. However, if your driver is expected to be significantly late, we’ll let you know in advance, and you'll have 10 minutes from that notice to cancel at no charge.
Please note certain promotions may not be eligible for use with Reserve trips. See promotion terms for details. Eligible promotions will be applied to your Reserve trip price at the time your driver is prompted to begin traveling to your pickup location. Note that promotions are not eligible for use on Uber Taxi.
