Rider Tales: On-Demand Romance

We at Uber certainly aren’t relationship counselors. However, we’ve been known from time to time to ease some domestic tensions with On-Demand romance! Uber’s a great way to show you care. Here’s a recent Uber relationship-saver straight from the rider:

My girlfriend and I had our six month anniversary. Now I’ve never celebrated anything but yearly anniversaries, but apparently she had a very different notion of the significance of “6 months.” Crazy, I know–and I didn’t get the memo. So, I ended up in some rather hot water having little/nothing planned for the occasion.

I quickly OpenTable’d a nice dinner rez and opened up the Uber app. Steve (our Uber driver) arrived in six minutes. He opened the door and was unbelievably professional. My girlfriend was pretty impressed. I mean the power shift was pretty spectacular. I went from [*expletive*] to Casanova in like five minutes. We had a nice dinner downtown and used Uber to get home for a “happy, happy ending.” You’ve got me for life.

Ha! Well congrats on pulling through at the last minute (*Ladies, Uber does not condone last minute romantic gestures, we’re simply glad we could help). [User that we cannot name] 🙂 enjoy your free ride for sharing such a great, and happy, Uber experience. For the rest of you, keep in mind that Valentine’s day is just around the corner (wink, wink).
