Uber is a great way to maximize your earnings. Here’s what you need to know if you’re driving in Athens.
Get started
1. Sign up online
Got an email address and a smartphone? Great, now tell us a bit more about yourself and we’ll get you started.
2. Upload your documents
There are a few documents we need to see:
- ID/Passport
- The personal details should be typed and not handwritten.
- Taxi Special Driving License
- If the license has been renewed, the renewal date should be clearly visible.
- Vehicle License
- Proof of bank account holder
- Receipt from Vehicle taximeter
- The personal details (VAT, name) of the owner of the taximeter should be available.
A driver profile photo
- Must be a forward-facing, centered photo including the driver's full face and top of shoulders, with no sunglasses.
- Must be a photo only of the driver with no other subject in the frame, well-lit, and in focus. It cannot be a driver's license photo or other printed photograph.
Vehicle insurance document
- The name of the insurance provider and insurance policy number should be available.
- The start and expiry date of the insurance document should be clearly visible.
- The insurance document should not have expired.
- The vehicle details on your insurance document should match the details of the vehicle you are driving.
3. Add vehicle
Which car is right for you? Make sure it meets the vehicle requirements in Greece.
4. Activate your account
Next step will be for you to visit our office in Athens. We will share all you need to know to start.
